


Pitcha Dangprasith is a video journalist and regional coordinator with six years of experience reporting on breaking news and feature stories across Southeast and South Asia for Agence France-Presse (AFP) news agency.
He began his career in 2020 as a video journalist based in Bangkok, where he covered major events including Thailand’s 2020–2021 anti-government protests and the 2023 general election, the 2022 nursery massacre, 2022 Philippine presidential election, 2023 Cambodia’s general election, and 2025 Thailand-Cambodia's border clashes.
In late 2023, Pitcha transitioned to Mumbai to assume the role of South Asia Deputy Video Coordinator for AFP. Since then, he has overseen video coverage of key regional developments such as India’s 2024 general election, the overthrow of former Bangladeshi premier Sheikh Hasina, the 2025 mega Hindu festival Kumbh Mela, the 2025 India-Pakistan military conflict, and the 2025 Air India crash.
He has completed certified hostile environment training with Zero Risk International and disturbance and disaster training with AFP in 2022 and 2023 respectively.
